The Journals

The Center for Air and Space Law produces two scholarly journals devoted specifically to space law and drone law, respectively.

The Journal of Space Law is the world’s oldest journal devoted to space law.  The Journal was first published under the leadership of the late Dr. Stephen Gorove in conjunction with the University of Mississippi School of Law from 1973 to 2000. The Center has worked with students at the University of Mississippi School of Law to publish it since 2003.

The Journal of Drone Law and Policy commenced publication in 2020. It is this first such publication to devote itself specifically laws related to uncrewed aircraft systems and the integration of the same into national and international air space.

Both Journals provide unique platforms for academic discourse, as well as practical considerations as the law strives to keep up with innovative technological advances in these new frontiers.
