Journal of Space Law: Writing Competition

The Journal of Space Law is honored to announce that the esteemed Professor Sa’id Mosteshar will be Guest Editor of Volume 44, Issue 2 which will be a celebration of the scholarship of Bin Cheng and his tremendous contributions to space law.


In honor of Professor Cheng, we are sponsoring a writing competition for young (18-35) space lawyers. We encourage you to submit a 6,000 to 10,000 word article advancing a concept explored by Professor Cheng. The winning article will be published in Volume 44.2, and the winner will receive a lifetime subscription to the Journal of Space Law.


All submissions must be received by July 15, 2020.

The Journal of Space Law explores the legal problems arising out of human activities in outer space.  Papers addressing all aspects of international and national space law are welcome.  Papers that address the interface between aviation and space law are also welcome. 


Authors are invited to submit manuscripts, and accompanying abstracts, for review and possible publication in the Journal of Space Law.  Papers should be properly referenced and cited using The Bluebook: A Uniform System of Citation (Columbia Law Review Ass’n, et al. eds.,20th ed. 2015).
